May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and this year, let’s shine a light on a crucial aspect of mental health: addiction. These substances or activities take over the brain’s reward system, leading to compulsive behaviour despite harmful consequences. It’s a dangerous cycle that can have long-lasting effects on mental and physical health.
