Admission Requirements

You required to have:

1. A minimum of Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) academic qualification of any discipline (Art, Commercial or  Science).

2. You must be 18 years and above.

Roles of a Pharmacy Assistant

• Provide excellent customer service by assisting patients with prescription pickups, and inquiries, and resolving issues at the pharmacy counter.
• Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing medications according to prescriptions and ensuring proper labeling and packaging.
• Maintain pharmacy inventory by monitoring stock levels, ordering medications and supplies, and performing regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Educate patients on medication usage instructions, potential side effects, and other relevant information to promote safe and effective medication adherence.
• Assist pharmacists with tasks such as compounding medications, preparing medication blister packs, and managing prescription transfers between pharmacies.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and quality standards to maintain a safe and efficient pharmacy environment.
• Collaborate with pharmacists, healthcare providers, and other pharmacy staff to deliver comprehensive patient care and support pharmacy operations.
