The Healthcare Assistant Program, designed to equip students with essential skills for healthcare careers, celebrated the achievements of our latest healthcare assistants. This painstaking program empowers students with hands-on clinical experience, providing them with the tools and knowledge necessary to excel in their chosen careers.
Healthcare Assistants also referred to as Healthcare Aide workers, or Caregivers or Personal Support Workers are one of the most essential members to any healthcare institution or private healthcare provider. They provide personal assistance and support to people who are unable to do certain tasks on their own such as their mobility, activities of daily living, and personal care.
Distinguished attendees included the Head of Health school, along with CLI College faculty members, students, and esteemed guests. The ceremony was a testament to the hard work and dedication of the graduates, the facilitators, and the entire CLI College community. It is a celebration of the college’s commitment to providing quality education and training to its students.
In her speech, Michelle Oyemade, the Principal of the School, commenced by expressing gratitude to the facilitators for their unwavering and outstanding support throughout the graduates’ academic journey. Quoting the renowned Henry Ford, she emphasised, “Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress, and working together is success.” Reflecting on the recent months, she acknowledged the collective efforts that led to both the inception and triumph of this endeavour.
She highlighted the graduates’ achievements in various class evaluations and clinical experiences, saying, “The students of this Institute have demonstrated their strong skills and know-how in the world of healthcare.” Michelle Oyemade urged the graduates to work hard towards the development of the continent and to strive to better the lives of the people around them.
She closed by saying that CLI College is committed to training healthcare heroes to be change-makers and development practitioners on the continent.
