Lagos, Nigeria – October 25, 2024 – CLI College Nigeria proudly celebrated the graduation of its healthcare assistant and mental health and addiction program students in a grand ceremony held in Lagos. The event brought together faculty, proud families, friends, and industry leaders to honour the achievements of the graduating class.
The ceremony celebrated seventy-one students from the Healthcare Assistant Program and sixteen from the Mental Health and Addiction Program, recognizing their dedication and perseverance in completing these comprehensive and challenging courses.
Delivering the keynote speech on behalf of Kaydene Campbell, Vice President of CLI College Canada, was Kelvin Orifa, CEO of CLI College Nigeria. In his address, Orifa captivated the audience with humour and heartfelt inspiration, opening with:
“Ladies and Gentlemen, Esteemed Faculty, Proud Family and Friends, and the Distinguished Graduating March Class cohort. Good afternoon, everyone! As I stand here today, I’m reminded that graduation is a lot like a software update—everybody’s excited about it until they realise it takes a little bit longer than expected, and then they start to wonder, ‘What’s really in this update anyway?’ But unlike those updates, I promise today will be worth the wait!”
Orifa went on to commend the graduates for their resilience and commitment, highlighting the significance of their academic and personal growth throughout the program. He emphasised that the skills and knowledge acquired would be invaluable in their future careers and life paths. The speech concluded with a powerful reminder from Campbell’s words: “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful.”
The Head of School also addressed the graduates, encouraging those entering the workforce in Nigeria and those seeking opportunities abroad to embrace the journey ahead. she acknowledged the vital support of family and friends, expressing deep gratitude for their unwavering encouragement.
